Overstory

You ever watch a movie just for the flashy trailer—then the film moves you in a way you didn’t see coming? That’s Overstory.

Sixty-four floors above the Financial District— no one ever accidentally ends up here—this place makes the trek feel like a victory lap. Gatsby-era lobby. Private elevator. And then suddenly—you’re in the sky. Inside it’s an art-deco dream. Warm light, perfect angles, and a bar that feels like it belongs in a movie.

We started with the Pink Tuxedo—vodka, cherry blossom, a whisper of absinthe. Elegant, floral, a little flirty… like someone who knows they look good in every lighting.
Then Maravilla—tequila, pineapple, apricot, marigold—bright, tropical, almost too pretty to drink.
In the Clouds—whiskey, Earl Grey, vanilla, champagne—smoky, silky, existentially good.
And the Terroir Old Fashioned—palo santo and salt. It’s giving “temple cleanse… but make it tequila.”

We ordered the fried chicken and biscuits because… come on.
Crispy, spicy, totally unnecessary—and absolutely perfect.

Overstory doesn’t just overlook New York—it reminds you why you fell in love with it in the first place.
