Martiny's

Martiny's

You ever go back to a place thinking, please still be as good as I remember
and somehow… it’s even better? That’s Martiny’s.

A quiet Gramercy carriage house—once the studio of sculptor Philip Martiny—now a temple of calm and craft.

You step inside and the city just… exhales.Warm light, a towel in your hand—an unspoken cue to slow down.

We started with the Caprese—this drink is pure witchcraft.
How can a cocktail taste like your favorite salad… and also, somehow, perfect?Tomato water, whiskey, basil, milk—refreshing, savory, I could drink this all night and I have.

Then the Grand Martiny, paired with a caviar bump on a wooden hand—part art, part street, totally Martiny’s.
The Olive & Honey Vesper—briny, floral, golden—like a martini hug.
We finished with one of my favorites: The Green Tea Old Fashioned—earthy, calm, a quiet exhale in glass form.

Martiny’s is the calm before the storm. Good thing, too—because our next stop is the LES and New York’s downtown scene. It doesn't give quiet.
